Singer Marzanna Bachowska and
pianist Tomasz Aleksander create a unique program that joins Polish poetry
together with the music composed by T. Aleksander. The program
features songs to poems by Maria Konopnicka, Wislawa. Szymborska, Czeslaw.
Milosz, Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska, and Leszek Chudzinski. Both Milosz and
Szymborska are winners of the Nobel prize for literature.
Ms. Bachowska is well known to
the Seattle Polish community for her expressive style of singing popular Polish
songs. Mr. Aleksander is a classical pianist, composer, and participant of the
prestigious F. Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in 1995. These two local
artists will take you on an unforgettable musical journey.
